Department of Biology FMIPA UIThe Department of Biology FMIPA UI has turned 61 years old in 2021. The Department of Biology is one of five departments in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UI. Until 2021, it has built a conducive academic atmosphere, supported by very adequate facilities and infrastructure.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Having a vision of \"as a center of excellence for biodiversity conservation education and research that supports the development of human resources that are able to play a role and compete at the national and international levels\" and a mission of \"playing an active role in developing Biology, especially in the scope of biodiversity conservation through the implementation of sustainable education, research, and community service development in accordance with advances in science and technology.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Department of Biology has four study programs, namely the Undergraduate Program in Biology, the Master of Biology, the Master of Marine Science, and the Doctoral Program in Biology. The Undergraduate and Master of Biology study programs have obtained A accreditation from the National Accreditation Board - Higher Education (BAN-PT). The Undergraduate Biology study program has been assessed at the ASEAN level through the ASEAN University Network - Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) and is in preparation for ASIIN international accreditation.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The Department of Biology supports the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka Program of the Ministry of Education and Culture by opening online courses or Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) that can be followed by students from within and outside the country. Supported by lecturers who have expertise in the animal science, botany and microbiology groups and conduct research in 5 research groups WILD (Wild and Sustainable landscape), MSP (Microbial Systematics and Prospecting), CEEB (Community Ecology and Environmental Biology), CeMBioS (Cellular and Molecular Mechanisms in Biological System), and MeCE (Metabolomics and Chemical Ecology) will provide a learning and research experience that meets the profile of graduates of Bachelor, Master and Doctoral students in Biology<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
