Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari seminar mingguan FMIPA UI bertajuk&nbsp;<em>UI Geoscience Seminar (UIGS) X STARBORN MENGAJAR 2026<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hadir sebagai pembicara, Ir. Briyanto Adhie Setya W., M.T. Senior Geoscientist Exploration and Exploitation Division, Badan Pengelola Migas Aceh, yang membawakan materi mengenai tantangan ketidakpastian global (<em>global uncertainty<\/em>) dan dampaknya terhadap pasar energi dunia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dalam pemaparannya, Briyanto menjelaskan konsep&nbsp;<em>energy trilemma<\/em>&nbsp;yang menuntut keseimbangan antara aspek&nbsp;<em>sustainability<\/em>&nbsp;(keberlanjutan),&nbsp;<em>affordability<\/em>&nbsp;(keterjangkauan harga), dan&nbsp;<em>energy security<\/em>&nbsp;(ketahanan energi). Ia juga menyoroti pentingnya Selat Hormuz sebagai&nbsp;<em>oil chokepoint<\/em>&nbsp;dunia yang memiliki peran strategis terhadap stabilitas pasokan energi global. Selain itu, teknologi&nbsp;<em>Carbon Capture Storage<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage<\/em>&nbsp;(CCS\/CCUS) disebut sebagai salah satu jembatan penting dalam mendukung pencapaian target&nbsp;<em>Net Zero Emissions<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDi tengah transisi energi dan ketidakpastian global, Indonesia tetap memiliki peluang besar untuk memperkuat ketahanan energi nasional melalui eksplorasi yang berbasis data, inovasi teknologi, dan pengelolaan sumber daya yang berkelanjutan,\u201d ujar Briyanto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pada sesi tinjauan eksplorasi Cekungan Sumatra Utara (<em>North Sumatra Basin\/NSB<\/em>), Ir. Briyanto memaparkan sejarah panjang eksplorasi wilayah tersebut yang dimulai sejak penemuan minyak di Telaga Tunggal-1 pada 1885 hingga ditemukannya Lapangan Arun sebagai&nbsp;<em>giant field<\/em>&nbsp;pada 1971. Menurutnya, NSB merupakan&nbsp;<em>mature basin<\/em>&nbsp;yang masih sangat menjanjikan dengan total 11&nbsp;<em>plays<\/em>&nbsp;dan estimasi potensi&nbsp;<em>Yet-To-Find<\/em>&nbsp;(YTF) mencapai 9 BBOE di wilayah Aceh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ia juga menjelaskan bahwa penemuan terbaru di sumur Timpan, Layaran, dan Tangkulo pada Formasi Bampo yang masih&nbsp;<em>underexplored<\/em>&nbsp;menjadi bukti bahwa peluang hidrokarbon di kawasan tersebut masih sangat besar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lebih lanjut, pembahasan turut mengulas sistem perminyakan (<em>petroleum system<\/em>) di Cekungan Sumatra Utara. Formasi Bampo dan Baong dijelaskan berperan sebagai&nbsp;<em>source rock<\/em>, sementara Formasi Belumai, Baong, dan Peutu (<em>carbonate buildup<\/em>) berfungsi sebagai&nbsp;<em>reservoir rock<\/em>. Sistem jebakan di wilayah ini didominasi kombinasi struktural-stratigrafi dan&nbsp;<em>fault-bounded anticline<\/em>, dengan lapisan serpih Formasi Baong sebagai&nbsp;<em>seal rock<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Menurut pemaparan pembicara, pengembangan di cekungan tersebut memiliki sejumlah keunggulan, antara lain risiko geologi yang lebih rendah karena sistemnya telah terbukti (<em>proven system<\/em>), ketersediaan data bawah permukaan yang melimpah, serta efisiensi biaya akibat kedekatan dengan infrastruktur eksisting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Setelah sesi pemaparan materi, acara dilanjutkan dengan sesi tanya jawab yang dipandu moderator. Pada sesi ini, peserta aktif mendiskusikan sejumlah isu krusial, mulai dari estimasi ketahanan pasokan migas nasional, inovasi teknologi eksplorasi, hingga alasan sebaran sumur yang lebih banyak berpusat di wilayah utara Sumatra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Menutup kegiatan, Briyanto menyampaikan pesan motivasi kepada seluruh peserta agar terus berinovasi, memanfaatkan masa muda untuk hal-hal positif, serta senantiasa melakukan setiap pekerjaan dengan hati.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSaya berharap generasi muda geosains tidak pernah berhenti belajar dan berinovasi.
