The International Program (KKI) at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia, is designed to deliver high-quality science education and prepare graduates for a global academic and professional environment.

Conducted fully in English, the program offers an international learning experience that combines a structured curriculum with flexible course options, enriched by research-led and industry-relevant teaching. Students gain strong technical expertise, independent thinking, and communication skills, while tailoring their studies to match individual interests and career goals.

Through laboratory work, research projects, internships, industry placements, and international study opportunities, students gain real-world scientific experience and global exposure. By studying at Universitas Indonesia and its world-class international partner universities, students build global networks and access international education pathways at a more affordable cost than completing a full degree abroad.

Program Options

Single Degree

  • Students complete their studies at Universitas Indonesia, with a minimum of one semester abroad at a partner university.
  • Graduates will be awarded one degree from Universitas Indonesia.

Joint Degree

  • The Joint Degree program is designed for students who pursue closely aligned study programs at two universities, where curricular similarity is emphasized.
  • Students undertake their studies at Universitas Indonesia and an international partner university, and upon completion, are awarded two degrees.
  • For International Program FMIPA UI, the Joint Degree program follows a 2 + 2 scheme:
    1.) 2 years of study at FMIPA UI
    2.) 2 years of study at the Faculty of Science, University of Queensland

Admission Pathways

Talent Scouting
Admission based on academic excellence, evaluated from the student’s school transcript.
This pathway is open to students from selected high schools invited by Universitas Indonesia.

SIMAK UI (KKI)
 Admission through a written test, covering:

  • Basic Mathematics
  • English
  • Logic & Quantitative Reasoning

Required Documents
Applicants are required to upload:

Admission is conducted through desk evaluation (no written test), based on:

Academic Requirements

  • Graduated from nationally accredited high schools or Completed General Certificate of Education (A-Level) or Advanced International Certificate of Education at a Pass level or above (Note: SAT result is to be provided by Bachelor applicants who do not hold certificate of A level or STPM or equivalent) or European Baccalaureate Diploma. 
  • For students from high school with international curriculum should pass the qualifications equivalent to any of the above.
Language Requirements
  • TOEFL ITP min. 50
  • TOEFL IBT min 61
  • IELTS min 6.0
