Master’s to Doctorate Education Scholarship for Outstanding Graduates (PMDSU)

PMDSU is a scholarship program by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology aimed at "educating outstanding graduates through a Master’s to Doctorate education pathway, involving lecturers as researchers/research groups with an international-level research track record." (pmdsu.id)

PMDSU Scholarship components include:

  • Cost of Living, Book Costs, and Research Costs
  • Tuition Fees (at cost)
  • Sandwich Program Fees at Overseas Universities

PMDSU UI Scholarship Requirements:

  1. Pass the SIMAK UI entrance selection*:
    *) Check the detailed registration information for SIMAK UI : https://penerimaan.ui.ac.id
  2. Excellent Bachelor (fresh graduate)
  3. Have a Bachelor's degree (bachelor's degree)
  4. The applicant's GPA requirements are as follows:
    • Accreditation of Applicant's Original University A, Accreditation of Applicant's Original Study Program A, then GPA ≥ 3.25
    • Accreditation of Applicant's Original University B, Accreditation of Applicant's Original Study Program A, then GPA ≥ 3.5
    • Accreditation of Applicant's Original University A, Accreditation of Applicant's Original Study Program B, then GPA ≥ 3.5
    • Accreditation of Applicant's Origin University B, Accreditation of Applicant's Origin Study Program B, then GPA ≥ 3.75
    • The accreditation of the applicant's original university and study program is below B, so the GPA is ≥ 3.8
  5. Age at the time of registration is not more than 24 years for non-professional graduates and 27 years for professional graduates.
  6. Obtain recommendations from your supervisor when taking an undergraduate program
  7. Obtain a recommendation from a prospective PMDSU promoter (in this case one of the promoters from FMIPA UI*)
    *) This recommendation is information that the prospective student has communicated his/her educational background, motivation, study and research plans, and other relevant information to the prospective promoter.
  8. Indonesian citizens
  9. Not currently receiving any other scholarship
  10. Physically, spiritually healthy and drug free*
    *) accompanied by a Certificate of Physical and Mental Health and a Certificate of Being Free from Drugs
  11. Willing to take postgraduate education for a period of 4 (four) years by signing a stamped statement letter
