As an effort to expand access to education for the community and implement the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy initiated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, the University of Indonesia through the Directorate of Academic Development and Learning Resources (DPASDP) encourages the empowerment of the role of technology in the learning process, adoption of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) technology, and creative and innovative teaching by utilizing information and communication technology. The implementation of MOOCs is currently popular and needed by many parties, from students who participate in independent learning to professionals or the general public as part of life long education.
FMIPA UI together with DPASDP UI continues to develop the implementation of MOOCs every year. FMIPA UI opens several credit and non-credit MOOCs classes to be attended by UI students, outside UI and the wider community. MOOCs registration can be done on the CIL UI page. CIL UI facilitates students in the BKP MBKM management (marketplace) service.
Pre-University Programs
A program designed for high school (SMA/SMK) students and gap year participants who wish to pursue a Bachelor's degree by attending independent online courses. Participants can accumulate micro-credentials for up to three years from their enrollment in MOOCs Pre-University. If admitted as a UI student through any admission pathway (SNBP/SNBT/SIMAK UI), their micro-credentials will be recognized through a credit earning system credit earning (SKS), allowing them to complete the remaining credits of their degree.
Benefits of Joining Pre-University:
- Get learning experience at FMIPA UI
- Receive a certificate as proof of earned course credits, which can be recognized (credit earning) towards continuing undergraduate studies at Universitas Indonesia
Registration Process:
- Visit the CIL website to find Pre-University registration information at https://cil.ui.ac.idthen select ILISt UI and click Login/Registration.
- Click Register as a Non-UI Student and fill in your personal data to create an account, including name, email, password, and university/institution name (for the university name, please select General (Non-Student)), then click Create Account.
- After creating an account, log in using the credentials you previously set up.
- Click Complete My Profile Now to register as a participant in the Pre-University program by filling in the required profile information in the following profile sections:
- NPM can be replaced with NIK;
- Batch can be filled in with your School Batch Year.;
- Academic Advisor can be replaced with your Homeroom Teacher's Name;
- Academic Status can be filled in as Active;
- Faculty can be replaced with your School Name.;
- Study Program can be replaced with your Class and School Major (e.g., X Science, XI Social Studies, XII Language). IPS, XII Bahasa);
- Degree Level can be filled in as Bachelor's (S1);
- Home Phone Number
- Active Mobile Phone Number with WhatsApp.
- Email Address.
- Upload a Profile Picture.
- Click on the MBKM UI program located on the left side, then select the Student Exchange menu to register for Pre-U Courses.
- When registering for Pre-U Courses, please upload the completed Pre-U registration documents, then click Submit Registration Documents.
- Once registered as a Pre-U Course participant, CIL UI will provide a ui.ac.id account for class access via the participant's email.
- Learning will be conducted through the idols.ui.ac.id platform.
