Grand Launch of BEM FMIPA UI 2025: “Embark the Journey” for an Impactful Student Movement

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Universitas Indonesia (FMIPA UI) officially launched the new Executive Board of the FMIPA UI Student Executive Body (BEM FMIPA UI) 2025 through a Grand Launch event held at the Prof. Dr. Ir. Soemantri Brodjonegoro Auditorium, FMIPA UI, on Friday (May 23).

This event served as a moment to introduce the new functionaries of BEM FMIPA UI 2025 to all elements of the campus community, while also presenting the organizational structure, vision, mission, core values, and work programs under the leadership of Muhamad Ridho Alfarabi (Physics 2022) as President and Kayla Nadhira Wijaya (Biology 2022) as Vice President. This year, BEM FMIPA UI carries the theme “Embark the Journey”, reflecting the spirit of building a broader, more integrated, and dynamic student movement.

The launch was attended by members of the faculty leadership, including the Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration, Prof. Dr. Tito Latif Indra, S.Si., M.Si., as well as the Student Affairs Manager, Prof. Dr. Dewi Susiloningtyas, along with student affairs coordinators and staff, representatives from BEM across Universitas Indonesia, and all newly appointed functionaries of BEM FMIPA UI 2025.

In her speech, Prof. Dr. Dewi Susiloningtyas expressed her appreciation and high hopes for the newly appointed board.

"Thank you to all the students who have willingly joined the Core Executive Board of BEM FMIPA UI 2025. I hope this spirit of goodwill can be continuously upheld. Together with the leadership at FMIPA UI, we can create positive activities and support performance achievements within the student affairs environment at FMIPA UI."

In line with this, Prof. Dr. Tito Latif Indra affirmed the faculty’s commitment to supporting student activities:

"FMIPA is your home. Make the best use of all the facilities available. Keep the spirit alive in bringing FMIPA to life with positive activities that support both the academic and non-academic development of FMIPA students!"

The BEM FMIPA UI 2025 administration consists of 4 bureaus and 3 departments that are integrated in carrying out the organization’s operations. Internal Bureau tasked with maintaining coordination and internal dynamics of the management, while Bureau of Communication and Information (Kominfo) plays a role in the dissemination of information and media management. Finance Bureau responsible for managing organizational funds, and Strategy BureauThe Supervision, Monitoring, and Integrity (SPI) ensures that program implementation is carried out in accordance with the values of transparency and accountability. Meanwhile, various student welfare issues are handled by the Department of Advocacy and Student Welfare (Adkesma), students' potential and creativity are facilitated by Departemen Minat dan Bakat (Minkat), as well as social issues and campus policies responded to by Department of social and political affairs

This grand launch is not merely a ceremony, but a strategic first step in strengthening the role of students as agents of change within the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at UI. With inclusive leadership and interdisciplinary collaboration, the 2025 Student Executive Board (BEM) of FMIPA UI is expected to become a platform that energizes, supports, and inspires the entire FMIPA UI academic community.
