FMIPA UI Announces Main Mapres and Categories for 2024 Pilmapres

The series of activities for the 2024 Outstanding Student Selection (Pilmapres) of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (FMIPA UI) has been completed. After holding the selection for the Main Outstanding Student and Category Outstanding Student on Thursday morning (7/3/2024) at the Prof. Dr. G.A. Siwabessy Hall, UI Campus, Depok, the jury team then determined the winners of this prestigious event among students in the afternoon. A total of 24 students participated in the annual contest. They are representatives from each department and study program.

The announcement of the winners of the 2024 Mapres FMIPA UI, both Main and Category, was read directly by Dr. Dewi Susiloningtyas, S.Si., M.Si. as the chief executive and Student Affairs Manager of FMIPA UI.

FMIPA UI Main Mapres Champion

For the Main Mapres, first place was won by Adnan Hasyim Wibowo (Geophysics 2021), followed by Adawia Ananda (Statistics 2021) as second place, and Nadira Putri Wijaya (Mathematics 2021) as third place.

Meanwhile, for the Mapres Category consisting of the Entrepreneurship Category, Sports Category, Arts and Culture Category, and Social and Environmental Category, it was won successively by Satrio Rifqi Wicaksono (Geography 2020), Raisya Khoiri Sukmana Assalaam (Geography 2022), Kezia Aurellia (Chemistry 2021), and Adrian AL-Farisi (Geography 2021).

Mapres Winner in FMIPA UI Category

After announcing the names of the winners, Dr. Dewi as the chief executive and on behalf of the leadership in the FMIPA UI environment, congratulated the students who won the championship title. She also gave encouragement to those who will face other Mapres from faculties at UI in the University-level Pilmapres stage which is planned to be held at UI in April 2024.

He reminded the FMIPA UI Mapres to prepare themselves as well as possible as provisions for facing the 2024 Pilmapres selection in the next stage.

"Congratulations to the winners. Remember this is not the end of the competition but rather a new beginning to face the stages that we will face next. There is still selection at the UI level, up to the national level," he said.

He further hopes that they as representatives of FMIPA UI can pass this stage, so that they can represent UI in the national selection stage, and present the championship title for UI and FMIPA.

"Hopefully this year will be a moment for us to win another championship title, which we can dedicate to UI and FMIPA, the important thing is to try our best and maximally," said Dr. Dewi closing her speech.

For information, the series of Mapres candidate selection activities at the FMIPA UI level itself has begun with the judging agenda for 12 Mapres Utama participants. At this stage, participants take part in the selection of superior CV assessments and creative ideas on March 4-6, 2024.

The assessment components in the Mapres Utama CV Unggulan selection consist of three main components, namely verification, superior achievements, and overall.

The verification component refers to the authenticity of achievement data, while in the outstanding achievement component there are assessment areas, namely competition, recognition, awards, organizational career, work results, empowerment or humanitarian action, and entrepreneurship. The last component is an overall assessment that includes other achievements besides outstanding achievements, CV writing grammar, and CV writing structure.

Meanwhile, the criteria applied for Mapres Creative Ideas include Creative Ideas (GK) scripts to solve development problems related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the Industrial Revolution 4.0. The script can be a concept/strategy.
